GeniusEdu does not actively collect personal data. Instead, all data is voluntarily provided and managed by client institutions through their use of our services. The type of information institutions may choose to input into the system includes:

• Personal Information: Names, contact numbers, email addresses, student IDs, teacher IDs, and related academic and administrative data.
• Institutional Information: Attendance records, exam results, fee details, timetable schedules, and other academic or operational data.
• Biometric Information: Only when explicitly enabled by the institution, facial embeddings may be created for use in face-based attendance features. No facial images or videos are stored by GeniusEdu.

It is entirely at the discretion of the client institution whether to use or store any type of data within the GeniusEdu system.

Any data provided by institutions is used solely to:

• Support school and college administrative processes.
• Enable efficient academic tracking, attendance marking, and communication.
• Provide secure identity verification if the face attendance feature is enabled by the institution.

We do not access, use, or repurpose any data for marketing, advertising, or third-party analytics.

This optional feature allows institutions to verify student or teacher attendance through facial recognition:

• The feature is off by default and must be explicitly activated by the institution.
• Facial data is processed into encrypted facial embeddings solely for attendance validation.
• No facial images or videos are stored.
• User consent is collected via the institution prior to enrollment in this feature.

Data is stored securely in cloud infrastructure managed by reputable third-party providers. GeniusEdu employs:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest.
• Daily automated and manual backups.
• Strict access controls limited to authorized personnel.

All security practices meet or exceed industry standards.

We retain data only while the client institution maintains an active subscription. Upon cancellation or upon written request, all data — including biometric data — is securely deleted within 30 days unless legal requirements mandate longer retention.

GeniusEdu does not share any institutional, personal, or biometric data with third-party advertisers or external organizations. If third-party services (e.g., payment gateways) are used to support functionality, they are bound by data protection agreements in compliance with relevant laws.

Institutions are responsible for obtaining any necessary user or parental consent for data they input or collect. Users (or their guardians) may:

• Request access to their data.
• Request data correction or deletion.
• Withdraw consent for biometric features through their institution.

The GeniusEdu ERP mobile app functions as an access point for institution-managed data. It does not collect or store user data locally, nor does it require any third-party plugins or additional software.

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in services or compliance requirements. We will notify client institutions of any material changes. Continued use of our platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
